Cal�ados Beira Rio

On June 20th, 1975 Calçados Beira Rio S.A. was born in the middle of nature. At the riverside of Igrejinha, a city in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Initially, it rendered services for other factories. One year later, with its 18 employees the company started the 150-pairs-day production. From services rendered to the footwear industry, it became the country`s biggest manufacturer of female footwear.

At the beginning of the eighties, the background of Calçados Beira Rio S.A. branded its meeting with fashion, where until now it reigns with innovation. It began the production of ballerinas, sandals and clogs, besides classic and casual shoes. Along the following years, the company enlarged its space, invested in storekeeper attendance, in researches in the fashion, processes and technical areas, and increased its products in the shop windows all over Brazil. In the millennium`s arrival, Calçados Beira Rio S.A. established itself during the so-called "new industry of footwear".

Effective management, new technologies, new materials and a narrow relationship with the fashion world have created beautiful, comfortable and charming footwear, causing a revolution and creating a truly Brazilian fashion, which definitely conquered its place as a domestic reference of fashion.

As of 1975 the products of Calçados Beira Rio S.A. have been a synonymous of quality, satisfaction and reliability of female consumers, because the companys committed collaborators team has learnt that to be big, you must think big. And it was thinking big, producing worth - besides footwear - and respecting people and the nature that Calçados Beira Rio S.A. became a national pride.
